Potjie tales Competition Prize

The Best Duty Superpotjie is a Cast Iron Bake Pot No 12, with a Multi-purpose braai lid, Tripod & convenient PVC carry bag. The Superpotjie is black enamel coated which makes it easy to clean and avoids rusting.

This amazing prize will be couriered to the winner within South Africa at no extra cost!

How to Enter
  1. Using the entry form on our website competition page, submit your legendary Potjiekos Recipe, with a photo during preparation and when cooked in your Best Duty Potjie pot.
  2. The Competition will close once we have received 30 publishable recipe entrants.
  3. Each Potjie recipe submitted in this competition may form part of our first FREE downloadable recipe book called Potjie tales – For the love of Potjiekos.
  4. All entrants will be judged by a panel of three judges according to evaluation criteria set out in our competition rules and the judge’s decision on the winner and publishable recipe’s is final.
  5. The winner will be contacted directly via email and telephone and will be announced on our Best Duty website and Facebook page (like our Facebook page @bestdutypotjies)

Evaluation criteria for the Potjie Recipe and Photos
  1. A complete Ingredient list and detailed method for cooking.
  2. A photo during preparation and when cooked.
  3. Use of spices.
  4. Appetizing combination of ingredients (meat and vegetables).
  5. Correct quantities in recipe for balanced taste.
  6. Photo showing textures, colours of ingredients.
  7. Use of unusual ingredients.
  8. Shared tips and cooking techniques.
  9. Inclusion of photos that exhibit criteria above.
  10. Photos submitted by entrants may only show Best Duty branding or must be taken to ensure no other branding appears in the photo.
Competition Terms and Conditions
  1. Best Duty is not liable for entries not received for whatever reason.
  2. The competition organiser is: Best Duty whose registered office is in Pretoria, 200 Watt Road, Pretoria West.
  3. The competition is open to residents of South Africa except employees of Best Duty, their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
  4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  5. By submitting a recipe and entering this competition, you’re allowing Best Duty to use your recipe and photos as part of our Potjie tales recipe book, which will be a free downloadable recipe book off our website.
  6. Best Duty reserves the right to determine which entrants will be included in our Potjie tales recipe book.

  8. The winner will be contacted directly via email and telephone contact details submitted on our entry form and will be announced on our Best Duty website and Facebook page.
  9. The prize will be couriered to the winner free of charge within South African borders.
  10. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  11. The organiser’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  12. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  13. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by South African law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
  14. Best Duty’s decision as to those able to take part and selection of a winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
  15. The organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the organisers control.
  16. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the organiser.

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The Best Duty online shop is unfortunately closed for the Christmas season as our foundry is on annual shutdown from 12th December 2018 until 7th January 2019.
